Continuity Clinic

Continuity Clinic is a half day per week clinic required for all residents, beginning in the PGY-2 year, and extending throughout the rest of the residency.

Continuity Clinic provides an opportunity to follow patients over a long period of time. This is also where introductory psychotherapy seminars are held. Residents can be assigned to Continuity Clinic at Harborview Medical Center, UW Medical Center, or the Seattle VA. Continuity Clinic at the VA takes place at the Mental Health Clinic and patients are prescreened for residents to find good training cases and to include a larger proportion of women than in the general VA population.
